1921 Harry Vickers (*1898) founds the Vickers Manufacturing Company in Los Angeles and introduces the first vane pump. 1922 Founding of Barmag in Wuppertal-Barmen, one of the first engineering works in the world. 1925 Harry Vickers develops steering systems with hydraulic support. The double-stroke vane pump is still proving its worth today. First series application in an Oldsmobile. 1956 Founding of Vickers Deutschland in Bad Homburg. 1988 Founding of the globally operating company AVS (Automotive Vehicle Systems), organization with its headquarters in Bad Homburg/Germany. 1991 Joint venture between LuK and Barmag, LuK 2006 Luk hydraulic and vacuum activities are sold to cognetas. The company's name is ixetic. 2007 ixetic GmbH was awarded the “2007 Hessen Champion” prize. 2008 ixetic GmbH ranks among the 25 best employers for engineers in Germany, according to the latest “Top Employers for Engineers 2008” industry survey. 2009 Plant inauguration in Plovdiv (Bulgaria). 2009 ixetic awarded by Toyota: Supplier Award for Achievement in Quality 2008“. 2009 ixetic is getting involved in South America. Partner DHB in Porto Alegre, Brazil. 2009 Joint Venture with DSI in Bangalor, India to supply the local market with vacuum pumps. 2010 Building up of assembly capacities for vacuum pumpsin Shanghai (China). 2010 ixetic was awarded “Top Employer Automotive” . |
